We interrupt our regularly scheduled blogging to bring you the 2025 Round Top Fall Show…

If you’ve ever dreamed of treasure hunting in a place where history, style, and Southern charm collide, then Round Top, Texas, should be on your radar. Twice a year, this small town transforms into an 11-mile stretch of antique heaven, welcoming more than 4,000 vendors from around the world, and its Fall Show is going on now.

Whether you’re a seasoned collector or a curious newcomer, the Show (October 4–18) promises an unforgettable experience.  So grab your boots and cancel your weekend plans.  It’s time for a road trip!

Here’s everything you need to know to “Round Top” like a pro.  We’ll see you there!

What to Bring

Round Top isn’t your average antique mall—it’s fields, barns, tents, and open-air spaces across four towns: Round Top, Carmine, Burton, and Warrenton. That means preparation is key:

  • Comfy shoes (cowboy boots or sneakers): You’ll be walking through grass, gravel, and oftentimes mud.
  • Layers: Cool mornings and evenings give way to hot afternoons.
  • Essentials: Tape measure, notebook or shopping list, cash/checkbook, sunscreen, hat, umbrella, snacks, and plenty of water.
  • Hands-free bag: Fanny packs and cross-bodies are encouraged—you’ll need your arms free for carrying finds.

How to Shop

The show is massive and can feel overwhelming at first glance. Break it down by your goals:

  • For serious antiques: Head straight to the Big Red Barn & Continental Tent—the original show since 1968—where only authentic antiques are allowed. Other must-stops: La Bahia, Bill Moore Antiques, and Bull Market.
  • For high-end home finds: Visit Market Hill, The Compound, and Bader Ranch for beautifully curated European and mid-century pieces.
  • For fashion, art, and eclectic vintage: Don’t miss Blue Hills, The Halles, The Arbors, and the fields of Warrenton (Excess I & II, Chicken Ranch, and Bar W).
  • For the diggers: Warrenton is the place to roll up your sleeves and unearth hidden gems at unbeatable prices.

Pro Tip: Rent a car—there are no rideshare services. And plan to eat lunch in the fields to save time; food trucks abound.

Where to Eat & Drink

Fuel is just as important as the finds. Luckily, Round Top’s food scene is as charming as its shopping.

  • Quick bites: Grab a crispy Diet Coke and spiral potatoes at Bar W, or the famous chicken salad and giant Ding Dongs at Junk Gypsy’s Local Roots Food Truck.
  • Dinner favorites: Royer’s Cafe (pie is non-negotiable), Lulu’s Italian in Henkel Square, or Mandito’s Tex-Mex. Reservations are essential, especially on weekends.
  • Cocktails & nightlife: Ellis Motel (not a motel, but a stylish bar), Prost Wine Bar, or Il Cuculo for pre-dinner drinks and late night imbibing.

Where to Stay

Round Top’s lodging options are as eclectic as its antiques:

  • Boutique luxury: Hotel Lulu, The Frenchie, or Red Antler Bungalows.
  • Quirky cool: Flophouze Hotel (shipping container cabins) or The Glamp Inn (indoor glamping).
  • Rustic charm: The Vintage Round Top, Round Top Inn, or Farmstead Round Top.
  • Funky & fun: Junk Gypsy Wander Inn for boho vibes.
  • Check out surrounding towns like Fayettville and La Grange for quaint and bespoke lodging as well.  It's all just a quick and beautiful 15 minute drive to where the action is.

Book early—lodging fills up fast during the show!  Start planning now for next year.

How to Plan Your Time

  • One Day? Shop Blue Hills in the morning, Warrenton fields in the afternoon, and end with dinner in town.
  • Three Days?
    • Day 1: Designer Day at Big Red Barn + Round Top Square dining.
    • Day 2: Warrenton fields, Junk Gypsy, and Blue Hills.
    • Day 3: Marburger Farm (a must) and Market Hill + The Compound for high-end treasures.

Final Tips

  • Ship it home: Don’t stress about big pieces—local shippers like Distinguished Transport and Check the Box specialize in Round Top hauls.
  • Make dinner reservations in advance: Lines are long during the final week.
  • Enjoy the magic: From sunrise in the fields to late-night cocktails under the stars, Round Top is about more than shopping—it’s an experience.
