For the Tailored Closet Of Central Austin co-founder Jennifer Ransom, organization isn’t about perfection. It’s about creating spaces that work beautifully for the lives unfolding inside them. As Fashion Week unfolds in New York, we caught up with this fashionable entrepreneur to learn more about her approach to organized style.
Since we all spend 10 minutes every morning in our closets presenting our best selves to the world, why should we make the best decision in the best environment possible? Especially since Texans have some of the most beautiful wardrobes in the world.
There is a certain freedom that comes from knowing exactly where everything belongs. For Jennifer Ransom, co-founder of The Tailored Closet of Central Austin, that simple idea has become something much bigger than an organizing philosophy. It is a way of approaching life, as our fashion follower Lance Avery Morgan finds when he caught up with the decades-long friend and colleague.
“A place for everything and everything in its place” is Ransom’s personal motto; a phrase that could easily describe a perfectly appointed closet, but for her, its meaning extends far beyond beautifully arranged shelves and custom cabinetry. “I find that order creates freedom,” Ransom explains. “When you know where things belong, whether they’re objects, priorities, or even people on a team, you have more room for the things that actually matter.”
